A Playful Take on Bathroom Design

ree

When it comes to bathroom design in Denver, FORM Studio Co believes that even the smallest spaces deserve character. This recent bathroom project, designed by FORM Studio owner, Amanda Larrimer, captures that philosophy perfectly—a thoughtful balance of function, nostalgia, and personality.

The design began with a playful wallpaper from Hygge & West, featuring Back to the Future illustrations. It was a bold choice, but one that felt just right for the homeowner—a mix of whimsy and style that keeps the room feeling personal and unexpected. Against the pattern, Amanda layered modern and vintage elements to create depth and story.

The vanity, from West Elm, anchors the space with clean lines and warm wood tones. A vintage rug from Rogala Designs adds texture and history underfoot, while Delta fixtures in both the vanity faucet and shower trim bring a timeless touch. The custom shower door and WOW tile used for the shower niche backsplash give the space a refined polish, balanced by the handcrafted feel of the Marrazzi zellige shower wall tile.

Every design detail was intentional. The Cedar & Moss vanity lights were reused from the previous bathroom, a nod to sustainability and the belief that good design doesn’t always require starting from scratch. The mirror from AllModern and Rejuvenation hardware complement the vanity without overwhelming it, creating a space that feels cohesive and calm.

Art plays a big role in this design, too. Over the toilet hangs a vintage estate sale find, while a delicate bird print from HomeGoods and a ceramic piece by Osso Ceramics add personality and charm. Perhaps the most meaningful touch is a floral painting done by the homeowner’s grandmother—a reminder that personal connection is the most powerful design element of all.

The finished result is a space that feels elevated yet playful, a perfect reflection of FORM Studio Co’s design ethos: style doesn’t have to take itself too seriously.

Whether a bathroom is large or small, Amanda believes it should tell a story. The right materials, textures, and moments of surprise can transform a purely functional space into one that brings a smile every morning.

For Denver homeowners, FORM Studio Co offers a range of ways to bring good design to life—from full-service renovations to virtual styling or one-time consultations. With expert guidance, access to quality materials, and a creative eye for what makes a space feel authentic, working with a designer can save time, money, and frustration—while ensuring your home feels beautifully, intentionally yours.
