FORM Transforms Outdated Denver Bathroom into a Stunning Retreat

At FORM, I believe every space deserves to feel luxurious and personalized. In my latest finished interior design project, I transformed an outdated primary bathroom into a spa-like retreat, focusing on functionality, comfort, and style.

This project involved a complete rip-out-and-replace remodel, giving this bathroom a fresh, contemporary look. One of the key updates was expanding the shower by about two feet, creating a more spacious and accessible area. Reconfigured the plumbing allowed for a better entry into the shower and added a sleek new niche for easy storage. New wall tile and added lighting were a must to further elevated the shower, providing a more enjoyable experience for everyday use.

Heated floors were installed, adding comfort during those chilly Colorado mornings. To make nighttime bathroom trips a breeze, we incorporated motion-sensor can lighting, eliminating the need to fumble for the switch in the dark.

One of the first request from this client was to replace the outdated soaking tub, which wasn’t functioning well. We chose a beautiful freestanding slipper tub as the replacement. While the client initially considered wallpaper for an accent wall, it didn’t fit the budget. Instead, their vision came to life by creating a decorative focal point using fun, patterned wall tile around the tub. The result is a striking centerpiece that enhances the entire room.

To add functionality and charm, two live edge floating shelves were installed for accessible storage of bath essentials, complementing the tub area beautifully. These shelves not only offer practical storage but add a natural, rustic touch to the modern space.

The vanity was replaced with a new prefab unit, and we added sleek, functional vanity lighting alongside updated medicine cabinets for additional storage. Every element in the space was carefully considered to balance aesthetics and practicality.

This bathroom remodel seamlessly blends modern features with cozy, inviting elements, creating the perfect retreat for our client. From the expanded shower to the freestanding tub, every detail was designed to enhance daily living while adding a touch of luxury.
